Humidity, storms, and everyday wear leave a mark on First Coast walls, and drywall repair is a common part of a well-executed interior painting project. Our crews patch cracks, holes, and water damage, then texture and finish so repairs disappear under paint.

We evaluate holes, cracks, nail pops, water damage, and texture issues throughout your First Coast home to determine the right drywall repair approach for each area.

A well-executed drywall repair disappears under paint. Here is what to know before you schedule one.
Humidity, plumbing leaks, roof leaks after storms, foundation settling, and everyday wear are the main sources of drywall damage in Northeast Florida. Older Jacksonville neighborhoods see more settling cracks, and beach-community homes see more storm-related and moisture-related damage. Matching existing texture, level-5 smooth, orange peel, knockdown, or popcorn, is what makes drywall repair blend invisibly under paint. Our crews test-spray or hand-apply textures on a scrap board first, adjust nozzle and pressure, and only then work on the wall. Every drywall repair project starts with a free in-home estimate. Our project manager photographs, measures, and scopes each area, and delivers a written estimate with the price and timeline.
We identify the underlying cause where possible so the repair does not simply cover a recurring problem. Persistent water stains, for example, mean addressing the leak before drywall replacement. Smooth level-5 walls in newer Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, and World Golf Village homes are actually the hardest to blend because any imperfection shows under raking light. We build the mud in thin layers and sand between coats. On the job we protect the home, cut out damaged material where needed, install new material, tape and mud, texture-match, and prime and paint. A final walkthrough confirms the repairs disappear under paint.
Walk each room and note cracks at door and window corners, nail pops, dents, water stains, and soft or sagging areas. Ceilings above bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens are common trouble spots on the First Coast. Humidity means mud takes longer to dry, and we plan around that. Storm season means we sometimes see multiple leak-related repairs in the same home, and we coordinate with roofers and plumbers as needed so the underlying issue is addressed.
Check baseboards for gaps caused by seasonal humidity swings, those are often caulk failures rather than drywall issues, and we address them as part of the interior painting scope. We recommend addressing drywall repair before an interior painting project because paint flashes over a damp patch differently than over a fully cured wall.
