Cabinet Painting in Lakeville, MN
Lots of Lakeville kitchens came straight from the builder with stained maple or plain oak, and the cabinets are fine, just generic. We repaint them with a cabinet-grade enamel in the color and sheen you pick, often with a contrasting island, so the kitchen finally feels like yours.
Lakeville Cabinet Painting Built Around You
From builder basic to personal
- Two-Tone Kitchen Plans: A white or soft gray perimeter with a deep navy, green or charcoal island is one of the most requested looks in Lakeville right now. We help you test color chips against your counters and flooring, then paint each zone cleanly so the line between them looks intentional. Uppers and lowers in different shades is another option worth considering.
- Sheen That Fits Daily Life: Satin hides small dings and fingerprints, semi-gloss wipes clean more easily and shows a bit more texture. Families with kids and pets in Lakeville often land on satin for lowers and doors near the sink. We walk you through samples so the finish you choose works for how your kitchen actually gets used.
- Hardware Swap Made Simple: New knobs and pulls finish the transformation. If your new hardware uses different hole spacing, we fill the old holes before priming, so they disappear under the enamel, then drill to your new layout after the finish has set. Soft-close hinges can also be installed while doors are off, as long as the cabinet style supports them.
Why Lakeville Homes Are Great for Painted Cabinets
Solid boxes, dated finishes, easy upgrade
- Builder Kitchens Everywhere: Much of Lakeville grew through subdivisions of two-stories and townhomes near Orchard Lake, Kenwood Trail and Ritter Farm Park. Those homes often share similar cabinet packages from the same few builders. Painting is a straightforward way to set your kitchen apart from the house next door without changing the floor plan you bought the home for.
- Older Lake Area Kitchens: Homes closer to Lake Marion and the original downtown along Holyoke Avenue sometimes have older solid wood cabinets with layers of past finish. Those need extra cleaning and deglossing to get primer to bond. If the house was built before 1978 and painted surfaces will be sanded, we follow lead-safe practices throughout the work area.
- Selling or Staying: Lakeville families move up and move on often. Freshly painted cabinets photograph well for a listing, and if you plan to stay, they give you years of a kitchen you enjoy. Either way our 3-year We'll Make It Right warranty transfers with the house, which can be a nice detail to share with a buyer.
