Exterior Painting FAQs in Twin Cities
The exterior season generally runs late spring through early fall, when temperatures stay warm enough for coatings to cure before the freeze returns.
Repeated freezing and thawing stresses finishes, so proper prep and quality products are essential to prevent peeling on Twin Cities homes.
Housing stock across Hennepin, Ramsey, and Anoka counties ranges from painted-wood siding on Summit Hill Victorians and Kenwood historic homes to original stucco on South Minneapolis bungalows, aluminum on 1960s-1970s St. Louis Park and Golden Valley stock, painted brick on Edina Colonials, and vinyl or fiber-cement on newer Maple Grove, Woodbury, and Lakeville builds. Our crews caulk siding seams, spot-prime bare or chalking areas, and address failing wood before topcoat. Coverage is quoted per elevation at the free in-home estimate.
The clean paint window runs roughly May through October across Minnesota before nightly temperatures drop below the product's minimum cure spec. Our crews stage prep during drier stretches and follow the multi-day forecast around Minneapolis, St. Paul, and metro suburb homes. The schedule is confirmed at the free in-home estimate.
Freeze-thaw movement works into any failed caulk joint on the north sides of Kenwood and Summit Hill homes, and ice damming stresses fascia and soffit paint across Edina and Woodbury. A flexible 100% acrylic with a mildew inhibitor holds cleaner and longer against Minnesota weather than a bargain product. Every exterior scope carries our 3-year transferable warranty.
