Interior Painting in Plymouth, MN
Six-panel doors, oak casings and long runs of baseboard define the inside of many Plymouth homes. We paint those surfaces with hard-wearing enamel, refresh walls and ceilings and schedule the work room by room so your household keeps moving while we paint.
Trim, Doors and Walls in Plymouth Interior Painting
Detail work that holds up daily
- Doors That Close Cleanly: Interior doors take more abuse than almost any other painted surface, and thick paint can make them stick. We remove hardware, sand and prime each slab, and lay down thin, even coats of enamel on panels, rails and edges. Doors get time to harden before they are rehung so they swing without binding.
- Oak Trim Decisions: Golden oak casings and baseboards appear throughout Plymouth homes from the 1980s and 1990s. Painting them brightens rooms dramatically, but the grain will still show unless it is filled. We explain the difference between a painted oak look and a smooth finish, then clean, sand and apply a bonding primer that grips.
- Ceilings Refreshed Too: Ceilings in kitchens and family rooms pick up cooking residue and yellowing over the years, and fresh wall color makes that obvious. We clean and spot prime stains, then roll a flat ceiling white that hides small flaws. Older textured ceilings are tested for asbestos before any popcorn removal, so you know what you are dealing with.
Why Plymouth Homes Benefit From Our Interior Painting
Practical planning for busy households
- Room by Room Scheduling: Plymouth households often have kids in school, parents working from home and pets underfoot. We map out the order of rooms at the estimate, keep a bathroom and the kitchen open, and close off the space we are painting. Each afternoon, tools are put away so you can use the rest of the house normally.
- Older Homes by Medicine Lake: Not every Plymouth house is a newer build. Some homes around Medicine Lake and the older eastern neighborhoods were built before 1978, and we follow lead-safe practices on those whenever we sand trim, windows and doors. Containment and careful cleanup keep dust out of the rest of the house, while newer homes get standard dust control.
- Minutes From Our Office: Plymouth borders Golden Valley, and our office at 1405 Lilac Dr N #160A is a quick trip along Highway 55. That keeps color consultations and walk-throughs easy to book, whether you live near Plymouth Creek Park, Lake Camelot or the Vicksburg Lane corridor. Our 3-year We'll Make It Right warranty also transfers if you sell.
