Edit: Jose came back and fixed the patched areas on the wall. Original: If I could rate our project manager Jose, I would give him 5 stars for communication, attentiveness and helpfulness. But overall I have to give our experience 3 stars. As part of our quote, the work on our backyard brick fence was quoted to include patch/repair of the areas that had deteriorated from being hit by sprinklers. These areas were patched for the most part but were not filled in all the way so the holes were not made flush with the rest of the wall. Also, Jose had to ask the painters to re-do areas of our wood porch that were not sanded and painted correctly on the first try. Finally, we asked for our backyard brick fence to match the color of the white brick we already had in the front of our house. They purchased a custom color match for the white paint color and used two layers, but the final color came out grey/blue and not white. We explained we weren’t happy with the outcome and we were told that due to the original blue color of the fence and the pores in the brick, the white color would not look the same as the front, so we would need a different/brighter white. I have no idea why they wouldn’t they inform us of this before the job began, if they knew we wanted it to march the front yard. We would have chosen a different white to begin with… We ended up choosing to add a brighter white on top to make the whites match better, and for this they charged us an extra 500$ for labor and paint. The final result was better but still didn’t match our front yard. In my opinion, the wall barely looks different from before any paint was added (see pic below for before/after comparison..top photo is AFTER). We did get a large discount for paying cash, so I guess we got what we paid for. However, Jose was very professional and communicated with us all the way through, and the concrete epoxy job under our patio was wonderful and we had no issues with that part!
