OUR PROCESS
STEP 1
In-Depth Exterior Assessment
We begin by inspecting every part of your home’s exterior for issues like cracked siding, peeling paint, and water damage. Twin Cities weather from icy winters to humid summers can be tough on surfaces. We pay special attention to sun-faded walls, moisture-prone corners, and areas impacted by freeze-thaw cycles.
STEP 2
Thorough Prep and Full Protection
Our crew power washes, scrapes away old paint, sands for a smooth finish, and applies fresh caulk to seal up any gaps. We take time to cover landscaping, patios, and fixtures so everything stays protected. Whether your home is in Maplewood or Minnetonka, we treat it like our own.
STEP 3
Durable Paint Application
We use high-performance exterior paints designed for Minnesota’s unpredictable climate. Our painters apply each coat with care to ensure long-lasting color and strong protection that holds up against snow, rain, and summer heat.
STEP 4
Finishing Touches
We give extra attention to details like shutters, trim, doors, and porch columns. Whether your home has classic charm or modern edges, we make sure every feature stands out with clean lines and vibrant color.
STEP 5
Walkthrough and Cleanup
We walk through everything with you to make sure the results meet your expectations. Then we clean up completely so your home looks fresh, tidy, and ready for all four seasons in the Twin Cities.

Had our exterior trim painted. Christiana was great and a great help selecting our color and sheen! Received an estimate on the spot and painting was done a few days later. Since the weather was getting colder, timing was of the essence. Price seemed reasonable although we didn’t get any other estimates. Chose That1Painter on the recommendation of others.

I had That 1 Painter come paint my house this fall. I definitely would recommend them! Christiana was on top of things from start to finish. She met with me more than once, walked through everything that I wanted done, made sure things were done as stated, and was great to work with. I had peeling paint on my gutters from a poor paint job years ago. They did a great job of scraping, priming, and repainting them along with the rest of the trim and the siding. There were a couple of issues and miscommunications that needed to get worked out but things like this happen and Christiana made sure things were done correctly and the painters returned promptly and got those things taken care of. Thank you for doing a great job and making sure that I was satisfied!

We had our popcorn ceilings removed by That 1 Painter. There were areas of cracking and mold growth in our 1990s home. The communication from the team was the best I’ve ever had from a service professional. The work was flawless. We will be using them again when the weather warms up to do drywall in our garage.
