What types of carpentry do you offer?
From interior features to exterior fixtures, we provide a huge range of carpentry solutions for Central Florida homes. This includes the installation of custom cabinetry and built-ins, repairing weather-damaged fences/shutters, restoring historic wood profiles on vintage homes, and much more. If it’s made of wood, we can fix, replace or install it!
What building materials do you typically use?
We have experience working with nearly all varieties of wood, composites like Hardie board, and engineered wood products. Depending on your needs and preferences, we’ll recommend the ideal materials for durability, aesthetics, homeowners insurance compliance, HOA guidelines, and staying within your budget!
How is your carpentry preparation process different?
Simply put, we go the extra mile! From customized drop cloths that protect your interiors to dust barriers that prevent debris from spreading, we take every precaution necessary for a clean, smooth carpentry project from start to finish. While meticulous prep work takes more time upfront, it makes the overall experience hassle-free for homeowners.
What factors do you consider for exterior carpentry?
Here in the South Orlando area, protecting exterior wood from sun exposure, heavy rains, and humid conditions is paramount. We select woods like cedar and pressure-treated pine suited for our climate. For fences/shutters, we use impact-resistant materials that can withstand hurricane-force winds and flying debris. We also apply layers of durable finishes, paints, and UV protectants.
How can I maintain my home’s woodwork?
Regular caulking/sealing and repainting when needed helps preserve woodwork. Also, limit moisture exposure from sprinklers, clean out overflowing rain gutters, etc. For long-term protection from termites and decay, we advise preventing wood contact with soil.
